“I started Julianne Designs because I kept meeting people who loved their houses but felt stuck in them.”

II.How I think about rooms

Four principles, every project.

  1. i.

    Keep what matters.

Before we buy anything, we look at what you already own. The piece with a story usually stays and anchors the room.

  2. ii.

    Choose in your own light.

Paint and fabric look different in a north-facing Waukesha living room than they do online. Samples go up on your walls first.

  3. iii.

    Mix old with new.

A room bought all at once looks bought all at once. We layer vintage, handmade and new.

  4. iv.

    Design for Tuesday night.

Rooms have to work for real life: kids, dogs, muddy boots and friends who stay late.

III.Rooted in Waukesha

Local light, local homes.

Based in Waukesha and working throughout Waukesha County: Brookfield, Pewaukee, Delafield, Hartland, Oconomowoc, Elm Grove, New Berlin and nearby. E-design clients anywhere.
